Aquama: Business Recovery, Technological Scaling, and International Expansion

Posted on03/11/2026 by

Following the resumption of operations in Switzerland and France by Aquama Holding SA, the group has reorganized and consolidated its activities to secure industrial continuity, strengthen quality standards, and accelerate innovation. This transition marks a turning point: Aquama now announces a significant technological scale-up, a structured international rollout, and a redesigned business model aimed at facilitating adoption.

A recovery that strengthens industrial control

According to Willy Lionel Pomathios, “the reintegration of activities within the Holding has enabled the rationalization of processes, improved quality control, and optimization of the production chain.”

The result is a new generation of systems whose performance has progressed dramatically, with increased reliability and better reproducibility of the solutions produced.

Doubled capacity and optimized efficiency

Recent developments have made it possible to double the production capacity of the machines. Improvements in electrochemical systems enhance energy efficiency (Wh/L), the stability of the solutions, and the cleaning and disinfection performance.

Another notable development: “the process has been improved to reduce the amount of salt required by up to three times while strengthening overall efficiency. This advancement reduces inputs and further improves the environmental footprint,” the entrepreneur explains.

A model without chemical logistics

Aquama technology is based on the on-site production of a cleaning and disinfecting solution using only water, salt, and electricity. This model eliminates the transport of chemical containers, reduces storage volumes, and lowers the risks associated with hazardous substances.

This approach has attracted the interest of industrial players such as Veolia, as well as public institutions such as the Canton of Geneva. In French-speaking Switzerland, innovative companies — notably Ex Machina Café in Nyon — have also adopted the solution.

Singapore, United States, France: accelerating expansion

With the launch of a subsidiary in Singapore and its selection in the United States through the SelectUSA program, Aquama confirms its international ambitions. In France, development is accelerating with municipalities, public high schools, and recognized organizations such as Maisons Marcon and ITER.

Leasing: lowering the barrier to entry

Aquama now offers an “all-inclusive” leasing model that includes maintenance, technical monitoring, and an extended three-year warranty. The first contracts for the Falcon R model start from CHF 297 per month, making access simpler and more secure.

In Western Switzerland, the Association La Branche is among the latest clients and distributors, illustrating Aquama’s commitment to safer environments that respect human well-being.
